The Southside Sunday Market is excited to introduce you to Snackilandia Bar. They will be with us all summer, and we look forward to you meeting them.

Snackilandia Bar:

Built around family, hard work, and a love of sharing something special, Snackilandia Bar is a small business created by Luz Berber.
Luz is a busy mom of three who also works with Des Moines Public Schools as a preschool associate. Her husband runs his own lawn care and snow removal business.

Together, they are showing their children what entrepreneurship looks like, how dedication, a strong work ethic, and family support can turn an idea into something real.

Outside of work and business, family life stays full. They enjoy raising chickens that produce colorful eggs, spending time fishing, and getting out on the water for boating. Those same family-centered values and energy carry into everything they do at Snackilandia Bar.

When you stop by, you’ll find delicious drinks and snacks made with fresh fruit, candies, hot sauce, and plenty of fun flavors mixed together in creative ways. Every order is made to bring a little excitement, a little sweetness, and a little surprise.

Hello Southside Sunday Market Community,

We are honored to introduce you to Edara Wellness, a locally owned and certified health and wellness business with a story that stretches from Nigeria, West Africa, to right here in Des Moines.

Founder Yinka Cole’s journey began as a young girl walking to her village market carrying baskets filled with her mother’s homemade hibiscus tea, a drink that helped sustain her family and shaped her understanding of natural wellness from an early age. That foundation of resilience and tradition carried her across the world to attend Drake University in Des Moines and compete internationally in the 200m and 400m, advancing to the Olympic stage.
