Olive, our dog, enjoys the mis-haps 😆 🍳 so much so she will not miss egg collection time!

Hen Highlight of the week: Tweedle Dee 🥰
Tweedle Dee has a special story. She’s our sole Silkie hen, and is so fluffy and funny to watch because she looks like she’s wearing snow pants with all her fluff 🤭 we bought her and her flock from a moving neighbor, and she came with her “baby” chick she raised who was basically her size at the time, yet she’d still cover and sit on the chick -such a good mama. She’s always broody- hence the picture of her in her favorite spot trying to hatch eggs ☺️ she got the name Tweedle Dee because when she would free range in our yard, she’s so petite she would squeeze through our cattle panel fencing and go into our neighbors woods and forage then forget how she got over there and panic running back and forth until we hopped the fence and caught her with a fishing net 🤣🤣 this went on daily for weeks and so we would call her “Tweedle Dee” since poor thing just couldn’t figure out how she ended up over there or how to get back! We almost rehomed her because we were afraid she would never learn. Thankfully after a lot of time she figured it out. We love this little fluffball. Despite being smallest in our flock, she holds her own and no one bothers her! We may just have to give her another baby to raise 🥰
