This photo was taken in 2006 at the Warsaw Uprising Monument in Warsaw, where our father, grandfather, and the founder of DJ’s Market, Geno Jurczuk, paid his respects. Like so many Polish immigrants, Geno carried the history of his homeland with him. The resilience, determination, and love of community that shaped Poland also shaped the values he brought to Boston when he founded DJ’s Market. Today, we honor the bravery of those who fought during the Warsaw Uprising, remember the lives that were lost, and reflect on the enduring strength of the Polish people.

This October, our talented baker is stepping into the ring at MGM Music Hall for the Haymakers for Hope amateur charity boxing event to help KO cancer.

For years, she’s been pouring her heart into making the pączki you’ve come to know and love. Now, she’s taking on a whole new challenge—not only training for her first boxing match but also raising $10,000 to support the fight against cancer.

If you’ve ever enjoyed one of her famous pączki, this is a great opportunity to cheer her on and be in her corner.

Every donation, big or small, helps make a difference and brings her one step closer to her fundraising goal.

Just in! We’ve met so many friendly Scots staying in the Polish Triangle for the games and look what arrived right on cue: Irn-Bru. Scotland’s favorite orange fizzy drink is now in the fridge at DJ’s. Bright, bold, weird in the best way, and ready for anyone feeling homesick — or just curious. Come grab one while it lasts!
