It is with a heavy heart that we write to notify you that we must postpone the Dover Farmers’ Market again this year. This difficult decision was made in the best interest of our farmers, vendors and community. Many of our great local farmers and vendors could not attend this year, and we couldn’t possibly have a quality market without them. If there is a silver lining to be found, our local farmers have reported that they are exceptionally busy with their CSAs and farm stores. It appears that our community is shopping locally for fresh products, and that was the goal of the Dover Farmers' Market all along. In our absence, please continue to give our farmers your amazing support this year. Many have farm stores locally in our town. We look forward to a mighty return next year!

To our dear Dover Farmers’ Market friends and patrons,

It is with a heavy heart that we write to notify you that we must postpone the opening of the Dover Farmers’ Market for the foreseeable future, and that we may not be able to open the Market at all during the 2020 season. This difficult decision was made in the best interest of our farmers, vendors and community. Several complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible for us to offer you, our loyal patrons, the quality farmers’ market that we all have come to look forward to and love. If there is a silver lining to be found, our local farmers have reported that they are exceptionally busy with their CSAs and farm stores. It appears that this outbreak has encouraged our community to focus on shopping locally for fresh products, and that was the goal of the Dover Farmers' Market all along. So, while we are greatly saddened about this disruption of the Market, we are thrilled to celebrate the strength of our community!

While the Dover Farmers’ Market may be postponed, many of our vendor's farm stores, stands and CSAs are open and thriving. We encourage you to support our farmers and other vendors and SHOP LOCAL. We are incredibly fortunate to live in such close proximity to the people that grow and craft our food!

We will make sure to be in touch with any updates or changes that might occur, so keep an eye on Facebook, Instagram and our website: https://www.doverfarmersmarket.org/

For now, we wish you all a happy and healthy season. We look forward to seeing you all when we can open the Market in the manner that the community has come to expect.
