Congratulations to HWY 79 Farmers Market, the Stewart County Chamber of Commerce's Business of the Month!

Since 2020, the HWY 79 Farmers Market has brought our community together by offering fresh, homegrown produce, homemade baked goods, jams and jellies, handcrafted items, and so much more. With an average of 20 local vendors each Saturday, it's the perfect place to shop local and support small businesses.

Located Behind the Stewart County Courthouse in Dover
Saturdays through August 29 beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Be sure to stop by, meet the vendors, and experience everything the market has to offer. Congratulations to the HWY 79 Farmers Market on this well-deserved recognition!

The Market is closed today
due to the rain.

It is hard making these decisions as we all know the weather can change. We look forward to seeing everyone next week.

We survived the storms this morning at the market. After 9, it turned out to be a really nice day.

A couple things. I need to.apologize to a couple who bought 2 dozen ears of corn. They were with a little bitty baby. I believe you pulled your corn from last week box instead of the fresh corn in the bags. I couldnt find you and noticed the bags were not open. Please see me next week or give me a shout and I will give you fresh corn. So sorry about that and it was nice to meet your little family.

Also I need a number of how many dozen ears of the white silver king corn that everyone wants.

Nice meeting new people today at the market. I do hope you come back and see us next week.

Market may be opening a little late this morning due to the weather. We are watching the radar closely over the next hour. It looks like we should be in the clear by 830.

Each and every week, going on 7 years, my family has supported me and been involved with the farmers market.

I want shout a BIG THANK YOU to
John Chango and my boys, David and Eli for getting up early in the morning to set all the canopies, fans and getting those generators started for our vendors.

And YES. In case you didn't know we provide all the canopies and fans for each vendor.
