The History:

Graces’ originated in Dover, DE at the hands of Ina Sales. Initially made as a treat for her small family, soon it became desired by her brother, sisters and their families. After her three children shared them at church and school, a few people wanted to place orders. Ina decided to utilize the creative skills of her twin sister, Irene, who was also active school affairs with her ow

n twin daughters thus creating more requests. Demand grew and a few years later, Graces’ Incorporated and was up and
running. Maybe you’ve experienced the unique flavor, texture and colorful presentation of the delicacies at Spence’s Bazaar, craft shows
and events, Cheswold Fire House and at the cottage along Rt. 40 in Bear, DE? After the brief idle period, THE TASTE IS BACK! It is the most flavorful experience in Confections! Current Info: Graces' has teamed up with Vitale's Italian Ice and Homemade Ice Cream at our location in West Dover for an awesome variety of unique sweet things! Vitale's has been in the Dover area for 12 years and is also unique in the richness, flavors and ingredients of the various flavors. When you visit, you'll be choosing between Fine candy, Ice Cream and Italian Ice ALL MADE ON THE PREMISES!

SWIRLING EMOTIONS RIGHT NOW ABOUT THE STORE CLOSING! I was making moves to start a "Candy Empire" but it's just not possible right now. Many attempts at advertising and much money spent and still not enough traffic to pay the rent.
