❤️ We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to every single vendor and customer who came out and supported the Downs Village Market this season. None of this would be possible without each of you. Together, you’ve turned our market into so much more than just a place to shop. You’ve helped build a true community gathering space where people can connect, support one another, and celebrate the best of what our town has to offer.

This season was filled with live music, delicious food, laughter, and connection. It wouldn’t have been the same without the vendors who worked so hard or the customers who showed up and made it all worthwhile. Together, you’ve helped the Downs Village Market grow stronger, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built as a community.

It’s hard to believe, but this is the last market of the season! 😢 We’re wrapping up with an evening you won’t want to miss. 🎶 The Walker Brothers will be putting on an amazing live performance, and Streetside Eatz will be serving up their delicious food! 😊

We can’t thank everyone enough who has come out and supported the market this year. 💛 The growth we’ve seen, both as a market and as a community, has been incredible and it’s all because of you!

Join us tomorrow from 4-6PM at Dooley Park for one last time this year. Stock up on your favorite goodies, enjoy great music, and help us close out the season in the best way possible!

Come sign the petition for a safe routes to school funding request.

Update 9/30:
229 online signatures as of this morning! We are going to leave it open til the end of the week as the compilers are out of town and can't get to it til then. :)

Update 9/26:
Thank you to everyone that attended the public hearing, signed the physical petitions, and signed the online petition. The online petition is up the 218 signatures! We have a little more room on that one, please pass this along. We have till September 30th to get all the signatures we can, before sending them on with our request.

Update: I upgraded our account to get the limit to 250. It should be opened back up again for more signatures. :)

The Village of Downs and Tri-Valley School District are excited to announce a joint effort to reapply for the Safe Route to School (SRTS) grant through the IL Dept. of Transportation to enhance pedestrian safety and connectivity in our community.

If you drive a vehicle, you know how difficult it is to see pedestrians on W. Main Street as visibility is extremely difficult and hazardous due to the morning and evening sun glare. In fact, we’ve had several near-miss accidents along this street. The grant program will provide funding to implement sidewalks along W. Main St from Price to Gadwall. The need for a sidewalk beyond Gadwall is needed; however, grant dollars are limited, but this would be a good start.
