These benefits are primarily driven by allicin, a sulfur compound released when the clove is crushed or chewed. Pro Tip: After crushing or chopping the garlic, let it sit for 10–15 minutes before eating or cooking. This gives the enzyme alliinase time to fully convert alliin into beneficial allicin.

If you find a baby deer (fawn) by itself in Pennsylvania, the best thing to do is usually leave it alone. Mother deer naturally hide their babies for hours while foraging to protect them from predators. The baby deer are not abandoned and the mother will return. (Great news, we did not touch the fawn and yes The fawn has been moved and is somewhere on our farm bedding down in our woods).

After loosing 99% of my Peach, Apple, Pear and Kiwi blossoms, somehow the grape blossoms hung from the 4/21 deep freeze, and show signs of a Grape harvest come the fall!! 🍇🍇🍇🍇. Grape blossoms are the delicate, often greenish-white flower clusters that appear on grapevines in the spring, which later develop into the fruit you harvest. Appearance: Grape Flowers initially appear as miniature, tightly packed clusters resembling tiny green or beige grapes.The “Cap”: Each individual blossom is covered by a waxy cap called a calyptra. During the bloom stage, this cap lifts off and detaches, exposing the reproductive parts (stamens and pistils) inside. Yield: The success of the bloom directly dictates the eventual harvest. If it is too cold, wet, or windy, poor pollination can occur, causing many unfertilized flowers to fall off (a process known as “shatter”).Harvest Timeline: The completion of the bloom serves as a key marker for vineyard managers; harvest typically takes place about 100 days after this flowering phase ends.
