Rittman Orchards is a family-owned fruit and vegetable farm and farm market in northeast Ohio. Growing the finest apples, peaches, strawberries, raspberries, sweet corn, pumpkins and much, much more since 1922. We offer u-pick on many crops seasonally, along with several festivals and family-friendly events.

If you like asparagus more than baby Abbie did, come out today to pick your own. You can grill it at your Memorial Day 🇺🇸 cookout! We will open the field at 11am and close promptly at 1pm. It is $4.50/lb. We will also have some pre-packed by the pound in the store for $5.50/lb.

Hope to see you out here today! You can also pick Iris and take home a dozen cookies for the party too!

Don't get too excited. This photo is from LAST year. But it sure got your attention, didn't it? LOL. Here's my report on the strawberry situation at our farm this year because a lot of you have been asking.

The weather was brutal this winter/spring, you guys. We lost a lot of berries, especially our earliest strawberry varieties. We DO have a fair amount of the crop still alive…some of the blooms on the early varieties made it through and most of the later crop looks pretty good.

At this point, we don’t have a date for either u-pick or berries in the market. The earliest berries out there right now are still small and green. The season will probably start a little later than it has the last few years, but still sometime in early-ish June. Predicting things like this is one of the hardest parts of farming. So much of it is just up to the weather.

I do promise to keep you updated with what I DO know. :) Let's hope for a great strawberry season this year despite the odds.

PLEASE NOTE!!!!!!! We are MOVING UPICK ASPARAGUS to Sunday, May 24th from 11am-1pm. There is a good chance of rain on Saturday. Come out this Sunday to pick asparagus AND Iris. (You can also pick Iris on Saturday, they are always open when the store is open, rain or shine!)

Iris: $1.75/stem
Asparagus: $4.50/lb
