I get to travel & collaborate for part of what I do for a living.
•
And it’s such a “perk” of the job! And often is such learning experiences too!
•
It’s a real blessing to do what I do & it’s such an honor to be asked to come out to do work…from interviews and podcasts…teaching classes & being asked to present key note speeches…YouTube content filming…speaking engagements & conventions…it’s all so amazing.
•
I also meet “followers and fans” in real life when I travel. I take advantage of the chance to get off the farm & to stay in a nice hotel…it’s an opportunity to explore this country & to really connect & share with people in real life & to forge friendships and build strong networks.
•
This weekend I flew out to Dallas to meet up with Suzy Young to do some collaborating & filming to share conversations & testimony & to teach & pass along some herbal knowledge.
•
It was amazing to work with an entire film crew and to have assistances and an entire team to help with production.
•
I had my first call sheet and was made to feel so welcomed and comfortable!
•
It was a quick trip and Jason stayed behind to help with the kids, and to run the farm and business.
•
The only part about traveling solo for these gigs- is missing my family. Even being gone for a couple of days can pull on my heart strings as I observe families strolling by at the hotel, or husbands and wives out to dinner, while I eat alone.
•
But it’s also a welcomed reminder that I can do things on my own and I’m independent and strong and able and I wear many hats, and hold many roles I’m this life in addition to only “mother”.
•
Nonetheless- when I got back from my trip- and pulled ip@the driveway after a little whirlwind trip down to one of my favorite states- I was pleased to find my entire family (minus 1) waiting at home for me!
•
Distance and time apart really does have a way of reminding us how much we mean to each other when we reunite again.
•
My oldest- who lives about an hour away- surprised me the most…when she was standing there with everyone else, waiving and flashing that bright smile of hers.

It was good to be away. It is also good to be home. 🥰
