Dunn Farmer's Market Dunn Farmers Market Produce Vendors and Crafts People

Tomorrow marks the return of the Dunn Farmer's Market.
Back in 1952, thousands packed downtown Dunn for the Town & Country Festival. The Daily Record said the purpose of the festival was “to demonstrate the friendly interest of the people of Dunn in their rural neighbors.” Let's keep that idea going!
The Daily Record said several thousand folks attended, despite repeated rain. 🌧️ We hope a little rain ☔️ won’t keep folks away tomorrow!
The festival included farm exhibits, music, contests, a Cotton Queen, and a parade through town. The NC Commissioner of Agriculture rode in the parade.
Young Dunn High School mascots La Rue Draughon & Mark Johnson rode in the parade as well.
While you’re downtown visiting the Farmers Market, stop by the Dunn Area History Museum in the historic Prince’s Department Store building, just down from the market.

Well, even though it is raining off and on, we are having visitors at the opening day of the 2026 Dunn NC Farmer’s Market!

There are several returning vendors as well as new ones and the customers are braving the weather, so why not come to the market? You might find that unique wood crafted item, or locally created oils and lotions. If stained glass is your passion, you can find it here at the market behind Sherry’s Bakery (a food destination in Dunn).

There are handsewn laptop bags that you will not find in the big box stores, canned soups and stews WITHOUT added salt and preservatives and organic worm castings plant food, a natural insect repellent. Oils, lotions, stemware, jewelry and artwork.

Of course, we have VEGETABLES and EGGS! Turnips, duck eggs, cabbage, mustard and turnip greens, Hummingbird vines, chicken eggs, sweet potatoes, salad onions and more I have missed.

So come see us, we are here until noon!

Good morning, Robert Tew here letting everyone know that next Saturday, May 9th at 8am, the 2026 Dunn Farmer's Market will be open for business!

WE NEED MORE FARMERS /HOME GARDENERS / FRUIT PRODUCERS to join us this year. The Dunn, NC Farmer's Market has been a staple for the Dunn community for over 20 years and there has been a steady decline in vendors for fresh fruits and vegetables.

The cost for a vendor to rent a 10'x18' space is $40.00 and this covers the entire season from May until October. That is very affordable to have access to local and visiting foot traffic that are in the downtown Dunn area anyway.

One thing to consider, fresh local produce and fruit has:
Better Flavor
No preservatives
No added sodium
Supports local growers
Gives the customer an opportunity to meet, buy directly from and have conversations with the people that contribute to the food you put on your table, without the added markup of a middleman or big box store.

Is this a plea for support? Yes, it is because we all are having challenges with the rising cost of food and increasingly , the presence of unwanted sodium and preservatives that are found in many items stocked in local retail stores.

On behalf of the 2026 Dunn, NC Farmer's Market, we ask that you come out to visit with us and see not only what the farmers have to offer, but enjoy the access to home and handmade craft items from talented individuals offering handsewn laptop bags, canned banana pepper salsa, soaps and lotions, wood crafts, burned-wood items, and unique stained/broken glass one-of-a-kind works of art.

Have a great day!

We are 2-1/2 weeks away from opening day of the 2026 Dunn NC Farmer's Market which is May 9th at 8am!

We have returning vendors that will be offering fresh vegetables, blueberries (July), canned Banana Pepper Salsa along with soups and stews, unique stained glass items that are one of a kind, soaps, oils and lotions, handsewn laptop bags along with various purses, soup bowls and many other usable personal items.

We also have returning vendors offering handcrafted wood items, pyrographic (burned) wood items with graphic images, and worm castings for a chemical-free plant food.

Plus, we have had many inquiries from prospective vendors offering 3D printed items (dragons, fidgits), crocheted pieces (animals, blankets, hats) greeting cards, fresh eggs, beard oils and wax, earrings (leather, clay), towels, spinners, laser wood items, fresh
flowers (bouquets, stems), and more that is sure to interest you.

On behalf of the many visitors that we have at the market every year, please accept our gratitude for supporting the vendors and the Dunn, NC Farmer's Market, we could not offer these various and many items without that support.

See you on May 9th!

Hello everyone, Robert Tew here hoping that all of you are having a warm winter. The best part is that we are getting ever closer to spring time, which brings us my favorite event... the 2026 Dunn Farmer's Market!

Opening day for the 2026 market will be on May 9th at 8am and run until noon. This year we are looking to further expand our offerings of fresh fruit and vegetables along with local honey, canned soups, locally produced soaps and oils, worm castings, pickled garlic and other mouthwatering treats.

It is anticipated that several of the crafts that were offered last year will be returning, especially Kristina Polley and her children's books along with 3-D printed toys and possibly fresh pastries.

We would also like to invite vendors that are looking for an affordable venue to market your crafts and other handmade items to contact me for an application and to answer any questions you might have about the market.. My email is: [email protected] and my cell # 910-366-2960.

The cost for a vendor space is $40.00 and covers the entire season from May until the end of October. Each space will easily accommodate a 10'x10' popup and 2-8' tables.

The location is the Public Parking Lot in back of Sherry's Bakery in downtown Dunn, NC.

Hope to see y'all soon!
