About the Seniors Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP):
Is federally funded program administered nationally by the U.S. Department of Agricultures’ (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services.
Provides benefits to lower-income older adults to purchase locally grown fruits, vegetables, cut herbs, and raw honey through FMNP Authorized Farmers’ Markets.
Supports local farmers by increasing the use and awareness of farmers markets.
Am I eligible for SFMNP benefits?
California residents who are 60 years of age or older, with a monthly income at or below 185% of the federal poverty level are eligible for SFMNP benefits.

Interested individuals must apply in person to SFMNP through their local agency, by county before receiving SFMNP benefits each market season. Benefits are available on a first come first served basis.

Where do I apply for SFMNP benefits?
Individuals eligible to receive SFMNP benefits must apply through their local area agencies on aging (AAA). A list of local agency contacts by county can be found here:

CA SFMNP Local AAA Contacts
Where can I use my SFMNP benefits?
The SFMNP benefits can be used from June 15 through November 30, 2026 at the listed Authorized Farmers Markets. Not all farmers at the market are authorized to redeem SFMNP benefits. Please look for the “WIC and Senior Benefits Welcome” sign when shopping.
