So when the crew we hired removed our old concrete, they cut it up into pieces to keep from making so much broken stuff to clean up and also to make it easier to carry out of the cheese plant to get ready for the new floor. I saw those blocks of concrete and thought of a way to reuse them into something that we needed! Between our house and our barn and cheese plant, we just walked through our back yard to the driveway in front of the barn and cheese plant which was fine if we hadn't just had a rain, but just after a rain it would be muddy and so sometimes we walked the long way around on the driveway to avoid some mud. Now we have a nice walk way and I love reusing old stuff instead of throwing it away!! A double win!!

The video is yesterday's dill cheddar getting the dill stirred into the curds and the pictures is the finished cheese today, before being vacuum packaged for aging/storage. Each of those blocks is 40 lbs of cheese, besides the little one on top which is 20 lbs. This is the kind of cheese that took 3rd place in it's category at the 2024 World Cheese Championship in Wisconsin!
