The South Durham Farmers Market is more than a place to buy local food. It is a farmer-founded, vendor-led nonprofit organization dedicated to building a resilient local food system by investing in the people who grow our food. Every Saturday, the market connects residents with fresh, locally produced food while creating meaningful economic opportunities for small farms, food businesses, and craft vendors across the Triangle. As a producer-only market, every vendor grows or creates what they sell, ensuring that customer dollars directly support local farmers and makers. Our mission is rooted in preserving farmland, supporting sustainable agricultural practices, expanding access to local food, and creating a vibrant community gathering space.
Please consider donating to our market during this special National Farmers’ Market Week fundraising campaign or become a SoDu Sustainer recurring donor.
