About Us

Calabro Cheese Corporation has been producing premium Italian cheese since 1953. When the East Haven manufacturing plant opened in the early 1980’s, founder Joseph Calabro had a small cheese store that was available to public. It was a local tradition to visit the store to pick up fresh mozzarella and hand scooped ricotta, moments after it was made, as well as Basket Cheese at Easter time.

The cheese store has been closed for several years but thanks to President and CEO, Frank Angeloni, Mr. Calabro’s vision will be restored. “We have always had a loyal following and want to contribute to the local shopping experience, here in East Haven, by giving our community the opportunity to buy our products directly on site.”

In addition to their award-winning cheese, the store will feature hand selected specialty items including fresh pasta, olives, imported tomatoes, and Italian desserts.
