💯 tell everyone!!!

Tell your friends, neighbors, pizza restaurant managers (ahem ahem), and your cousins to get their animals fixed. Tell them about the places that help with it. Then in a month, ask them what steps they’ve taken to get it done.

What we’re doing is not enough. What all of the rescues, organizations, and shelters are doing collectively, is not enough. Because we have far too many NON SPAY/NEUTERERS and repeat offenders constantly adding to the population.

We have multiple locations with 5 and more litters of kittens already born on our list waiting for assistance with the adults. Spay and neuter is not a new concept, folks. In Louisville it has been free for strays for a very long time. Shamrock has provided vouchers for free spay/neuter for owned pets for a very long time. We should not have the catastrophic population explosion we have right now (we will plan a post to talk about why it is truly catastrophic).

We can’t do anymore than we’re doing. We operate every week at our fullest capacity. It is time for the general public to step up and do more. What will YOU do to help your own situation or someone you know?

🐾 Two animal shelters made history by doing something almost unheard of—they emptied every single kennel. For the first time ever, every dog was adopted, leaving rows of cages completely empty. Staff members lined the halls cheering, crying, and celebrating this incredible moment of community kindness and compassion.

This milestone was more than just a happy ending—it was proof that when people come together with empathy and action, real change can happen. These shelters not only gave every dog a second chance, they inspired others around the world to adopt, not shop. A powerful reminder that love can fill every empty cage. 🐕✨
