Harvesting hyssop. Yes, the Biblical kind! Same kind the Israelites used to paint blood on the door posts in Egypt for what today is celebrated as Passover. Hyssop was used in ancient times to treat leprosy. Its still good for the skin today. Google it.
It is used along with other holy herbs to make my Simply Divine Skin Loving Salve. I will be foraging in my secret spot for wild St. Johns Wort this coming week. Batches of Simply Divine Salve coming soon!

Literally 2 arm loads full of german chamomile have been processed in the solar dehydrator recently. I'm very grateful for all the sunshine. De-stemming before it goes in is definatly the hardest part. Those stems hold a lot of moisture! Packaging is pretty tedious, too but it is a labor of love.
Chamomile has a lovely almost pineapple flavor and is good for you! Its a calming herb. Google "health benefits of".
This and other dried herbs can also be used as a tincture by putting it in a jar with 80 proof or more vodka for a week or more. Shake it everyday, drain the herb out and keep the liquid tightly capped. I add up to a tablespoon of tincture to a shot of water to help insomnia. Its better then tea because of the small amount. I can make it til morning without needing to visit the bathroom, had I drank tea🤭.

Its Chamomile harvest! Stuffing the solar dehydrator full today. Tea coming soon.
Bees amd butterflies were coming in the barn to check things out, it smelled so good. Its a very relaxing task to de-stem chamomile. Appearently you don't have to only drink the tea to relax. The fragrance helps, too. 😊
