Meet Mao Xiong, co-owner of Hmong Garden. Mao and her husband, Tou Xiong are the heart and soul of their gardening operation. Mao is in charge of production work, from planting, harvesting, washing and selling weekly on Saturday at the market. She loves coming to her garden and seeing how her vegetables are growing each day.

Welcome to Hmong Garden. For more than 15 years, Tou and Mao Xiong have been dedicated to providing the freshest and most beautiful array of fruits and vegetables for the Eau Claire Downtown Farmer’s Market and the Dane County Farmers Market in southern Wisconsin.

Each year, Tou and Mao start prepping their many acre garden in early April by planting seeds they harvested from the previous season while in search of a new variety of seeds from the sweetest carrots or the best kind of French green beans to plant for the new season. From sunrise to well past sunset, Tou and Mao live and breathe their garden just to be able to bring joy and healthy food choices to their friends and neighbors in their home state of Wisconsin.
