Wow! This is a yellow watermelon called moon and the stars. Instead of stripes it has yellow splotches that look like the night sky. It's a yellow watermelon with seeds. This one is weighing in at 26 and 1/2 lb! I will have several at the Edenton Farmers Market come see us! 🌱

No it is not a pumpkin! Haha it is a red watermelon 🍉 called a Royal Golden. The fruit and the leaves turn bright gold when the fruit is ripe. It is an open pollinated, heirloom, non-GMO variety that is crisp sweet and delicious. I will have several at the Edenton Farmers Market tomorrow along with other fun watermelon varieties. We have a beautiful lineup of tomatoes for the Edenton Farmers Market tomorrow. The early girls are still producing beautiful tomatoes. They are the perfect size for sandwiches or cutting up for salads and they have a great flavor. Also have Better Boys, Yellow Beef Steaks, Roma's, and Napa Red Grape on the vine. Come see us

I know this small red tomato does not look like much but it is very significant. This is the first Early Girl tomato to come off here at Hopewell Farms Produce. (Zone 8A) I have been gardening since I was 12 years old and I stick to the old school varieties that we enjoyed on our tomatoes sandwiches growing up, the ones we had growing in our gardens, we put them into Ball Mason jars to enjoy during the winter time. You know the varieties, they have been proven winners for me season after season for 40 years. Of course I have heirloom varieties going as well, every year it seems like someone's coming at me with a chocolate pineapple carbon crimson etc. They are fun to grow but I lean heavily on the classics. I will have some of these at the Edenton Farmers Market tomorrow. If you are planning on canning some tomatoes 🍅 this season or putting back spaghetti sauce I will have bulk quantities available. Message me for details.
