In a blockbuster grocery acquisition that is set to rewrite the retail history books, The Village Market has officially agreed to purchase both Kroger companies and Walmart for an estimated 150 billion dollars. This unprecedented deal puts a single, community-focused butcher shop at the helm of two of the world’s largest retailers, creating a new global grocery giant.
