🌺🍧 How Our Hawaiian Shaved Ice Story Began 🍧🌺

During the pandemic, while I was battling stage 4 lung cancer, our family made a decision to travel to Hawaii 🌺 every year. Hawaii healed me so quickly in spirit and made me feel happy, peaceful, and alive again. Every evening, we enjoyed authentic Hawaiian 🌺 shaved ice 🍧, and those sweet moments became some of our most cherished memories.

That beautiful experience inspired my kids to gift their father a shaved ice machine on Father’s Day. From that special gift, an idea was born — why not bring that same Hawaiian 🌺 joy here so everyone can enjoy it without having to travel all the way to Hawaii🌺.
Today, we are proud to serve authentic Hawaiian 🌺 shaved ice made with syrups from Hawaii, served in palm 🌴leaf bowls with corn 🌽 husk spoons — all compostable and eco-friendly. It’s more than just a treat; it’s a little taste of Hawaii, a little memory of healing, and a whole lot of happiness.

🌿💙 A Beautiful Blueberry Story 💙🌿

Back in 2014, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Once in a Blue Moon Berries farm for the very first time. It truly felt like a once-in-a-blue-moon experience — walking the farm, picking delicious blueberries, and meeting the most humble, grounded, and inspiring couple who started this beautiful farm from scratch. Their hard work, love, and dedication left a lasting impression on us and gave us the encouragement to begin our own small garden, which grew so much bigger during the pandemic.

Today, We visited again and had the joy of meeting Michelle, their daughter and the new owner. She is such a beautiful person, carrying on the family’s legacy with warmth and heart. We picked berries again, and also brought home a few healthy organic blueberry plants 🪴 to help her out by offering them at Salmon Falls Trading Post. If you missed getting blueberry plants, no worries — you can stop by our farm on weekends from 10 AM to 4 PM, or weekdays by appointment.
