🇲🇽✨ A journey through Mexico, one flavor at a time. ✨🇲🇽
Our recent trip to Mexico City, the heart of Mexico, was about much more than visiting places it was about discovering flavors, meeting incredible people, and learning from the hands and hearts behind some of Mexico’s most authentic food. ❤️🌮
Taking advantage of our summer break, we had the opportunity to expand our horizons and experience the flavors that make Mexican cuisine so special. And along the way, we were lucky enough to meet some amazing people who reminded us that behind every great dish, there’s a beautiful Abuelita’s story. 🇲🇽✨
🌽 In Azcapotzalco, we met Doña Ana, a wonderful corn vendor who shared a little piece of her everyday life and the incredible tradition behind Mexican corn. She was even featured in a video by La Ruta De La Garnacha , another person we admire for showcasing the incredible food and people. https://youtu.be/Wn-qZBRgMTE?si=lVFJ4jih9SEjsEn3
🍽️ We also had the opportunity to meet Pedro from El Fénix, in La Nueva Santa María, who introduced us to some unforgettable flavors from delicious chilaquiles to chamorro. Every bite gave us new ideas and inspiration for our own kitchen.
🥣 And, of course, we couldn’t leave out one of our favorites: Casa de Toño and that comforting, delicious pozole that reminds us why Mexican food is so deeply connected to memories, family, and tradition.
This trip reminded us that inspiration can be found everywhere from a small corn stand on a neighborhood street to a local restaurant serving a dish perfected over generations.
We came back with our hearts and bellies full of artisanal Mexican flavors and delicious inspiration. ❤️
🌮 We’re not just cooking we’re learning, exploring, and bringing a little more of Mexico into De Mi Cocina.
And lastly, a huge thank you to Kuro Travel for taking us every step of the way! ❤️ Amazing people, so helpful, and wonderful to travel with. You made our trip even more special! ✨. 🇲🇽✨
