City of Elgin, Illinois Government

The city of Elgin’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is cancelled due to weather. Santa’s workshop at Habitat for Humanity will continue until 3pm as scheduled.

The tree will be illuminated tonight through January 12th at DuPage Court. Letters to Santa can be dropped off at DuPage Court until December 12th. Be sure to visit the tiny holiday village houses in various city building including City Hall, the Centre of Elgin, and the Elgin Police Department starting next week. Stay safe and enjoy the holiday weekend!
