Blueberries have started to turn. We dont have as many and they aren't as big as they usually are (i am assuming due to the lack of rainfall). But, if you would like to pick a few pints, I am asking to call ahead so no one wastes time or gas coming out to pick if they are gone. Im praying g next summer is 'back to normal'.

I appreciate all of the interest and patience as to when our strawberry patch will open. I just walked down to assess the field. First field has MAJOR deer damage. Most of the plants are eaten to ground level, so an electric fence will go up before next year. Patch #2 has berries but they are very small, not worth the effort. We were supposed to have irrigation by now, but has not happened. We will have it next year. So my apologies everyone. We aren't going to open the patch. We will however have organically grown blueberries (u-pick) and blackberries. We currently have asparagus. Pasture raised chickens will be available the end of June. And, we usually have eggs.(free range, organic, non gmo supplemented food.)
As disappointed as I am, this is a semi hobby for us. I worry about the farmers who depend on this for a living. So next time you see a farmer, thank that farmer! Happy Memorial Day! See you all next year....unless you want other goods. ✌️❤️🍓

For everyone asking....we hope to open the strawberry patch this week. The lack of rain has been an issue as we are still waiting for our irrigation system to be installed. I have been hand watering using a dollar general swimming pool in the truck bed. As you can imagine, labor intensive! But, for those of you who know me, it is a labor of love! Hand weeding and hand watering!!! It's worth it to have clean, chemical free berries!!! Thank you for all of the interest! 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓

Started on the strawberry patch by the road today....wow! I assumed after last year, they were done. They have multiplied and look amazing especially since I haven't done anything to them. They were covered in weeds which I assume protected them from this last frost we had. GET READY FOR SOME AWESOME BERRIES!!!! IM EXCITED!!!🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
