I appreciate all of the interest and patience as to when our strawberry patch will open. I just walked down to assess the field. First field has MAJOR deer damage. Most of the plants are eaten to ground level, so an electric fence will go up before next year. Patch #2 has berries but they are very small, not worth the effort. We were supposed to have irrigation by now, but has not happened. We will have it next year. So my apologies everyone. We aren't going to open the patch. We will however have organically grown blueberries (u-pick) and blackberries. We currently have asparagus. Pasture raised chickens will be available the end of June. And, we usually have eggs.(free range, organic, non gmo supplemented food.)
As disappointed as I am, this is a semi hobby for us. I worry about the farmers who depend on this for a living. So next time you see a farmer, thank that farmer! Happy Memorial Day! See you all next year....unless you want other goods. βοΈβ€οΈπ
