FISH Community Food Bank will be helping enroll eligible seniors in the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) again this season! Join us Thursday, June 4th at UKCSC Centennial Center or Saturday, June 6th at Ellensburg Farmers Market.
This program helps lower-income older adults purchase locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey at participating farmers markets and farm stands throughout Washington.
Eligible participants may qualify if they are:
โข Washington residents age 60+
โข Native American or Alaska Native residents age 55+
โข Within income guidelines (185% of the federal poverty level)
The market season runs June 1 through October 31.
Benefits are loaded onto a card that can be used directly with participating vendors. Vendors simply scan the card and participants enter a PIN to complete purchases.
Participants must apply each year to receive benefits.
Interested in applying through FISH? Find us at the UKCSC Centennial Center this Thursday from 11:30-1:00, at the Ellensburg Farmers Market this coming Saturday or contact [email protected] for more information.
