This morning, I received a phone call that truly meant more to Allison and me than I can put into words.
Pastor C.F. from a Presbyterian church in Fairmont, NC called and asked if he could use The Silo Farm Stand as part of his sermon this morning.
Pastor C.F. told me how much he loved what the Silo represents — the honor system, the trust, the community, and just the whole idea behind what we’ve built.
Part of his message this morning is:
“If we ain’t dead, we ain’t done.”
And somehow, our little Silo made its way into that message.
Pastor C.F. told me that during his sermon, he plans to send everyone in the congregation a picture of the Silo, show them where we are, and tell them a little about what we do. And before the day is over, somebody in that congregation is going home with a container of our grape salad! 😂❤️
Pastor C.F., I don’t know if you realize just how much your phone call meant to us this morning.
What started as a little farm stand has become something we never could have imagined. We just keep working, keep cooking, keep trusting people, and keep trying to do things the right way. To know that something we created is worthy of being mentioned in a Sunday morning sermon is humbling beyond words.
