Fall is in the air. It's a beautiful and busy time of year. The produce is winding down and its getting close to time for a winter's rest. (Well, maybe some rest in a couple of months.)
Our fall hours are in effect now. We will be open: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are closed on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you'd like something on Wednesday or Thursday call and leave a message. We'll arrange a time when you can come by.
There is lots of produce still available. We have:
Peaches: Hales. The last of the Hales are picked now and in the cooler. They're nice.
Elbertas. They're ripe and ready to eat or can.
O'Henrys will be available on Saturday, September 13.
Pears: Bartlett and Asian (both the 20th Century [yellow] and Hosui [brown] ones.
Plums/Prunes: Duarte plums, Friars plums and Italian prunes.
Watermelon ( seeded and seedless) and cantaloupe.
Grapes: Jupiter (seedless red) are ready. Concords are getting close. Remember to bring your 5 gallon bucket and fill it for $15 (upick).
Apples: Honey Crisp, Early Fuji and Jonaprince.
The tomatoes are finally producing. I have a few boxes already picked. They are regular tomatoes. There are no Roma tomatoes, they all died.
Other veggies: hot peppers, sweet bell peppers, summer squash, zucchini, okra, eggplant and cucumbers.
For upick: Grapes, Apples and Pears.
See you soon!
