Good evening Englewood Families! First and foremost, we hope you and your loved ones are safe and recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Ian’s impact. We know that the remnants of a storm of this magnitude will leave behind a trail of devastation that will have many of our families in restoration mode for months to come.
We also recognize that, as the community school, we have been blessed to be on the receiving end of this community’s generosity, truly for generations! In keeping with that spirit of generosity, beginning at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, October 6, and lasting until 2:00 p.m. we will be giving out various donations at Englewood Elementary. We will have numerous items for our Englewood School community families to pick up as needed:
Diapers
Cleaning products
Hygiene products
Water
Non-perishable Food Items
Pet food
Backpacks-filled with age-appropriate comfort items pjs, throw blankets, stuffed animals, and workbooks.
We’ll also have many other items so we hope you’ll be able to come out and pick up whatever items are needed for you and your family.
In addition to this announcement regarding the distribution of supplies, we also want to make sure our families know our tentative goal is to welcome students back on campus at some point during the week of October 17. As we get closer to the 17th, we will be able to provide a definitive start date. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with our school community family. We hope to see you all tomorrow.
Have a good evening!
