What a wonderful way to kick off Welcoming Week 2026! 🌎🤝

Thank you to the City of Erie Government for choosing Almadina Supermarket to help launch this year’s Welcoming Week activities. We truly enjoyed bringing neighbors together today over baklava, coffee, and conversation.

A special thank-you to the Erie County Public Library for joining us and sharing valuable community resources, and to everyone who stopped by and made the event so meaningful.

Welcoming Week continues with many great events throughout Erie in the coming days. Be sure to check the official schedule, attend an upcoming activity, and help us celebrate the people and cultures that make our community special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at Almadina Supermarket for the Welcoming Week proclamation and event announcement with City of Erie Government. We were honored to host Mayor Daria Simon Devlin, State Representative Bob Merski, City leaders, community partners, and everyone who came out to support this special occasion.

Welcoming Week officially begins Thursday, September 10, and Almadina is proud to host Launch Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We’ll be outside the store sharing information about the week’s events and offering baklava, coffee, and conversation. Stop by, meet your neighbors, and help us begin a week celebrating the cultures and communities that make Erie stronger.

Almadina will also be participating in the New American Jamboree on Saturday, September 19, from 4–7 p.m. at West Perry Square as Welcoming Week comes to a close.
