Official announcement for the opening of the 2026 Escanaba Farmer’s Market

Well folks, it is that time of year for the opening of the Farmer’s Market at 1501 Ludington Street. We are opening on June 3 at 3:00 p.m. Please consider becoming a member of our market family. This year we are a locally grown market only; this means you must grow it yourself. With that said I am calling on all local farmers growing vegetables to consider being a part of the market. You have an open invitation. Just show up and I will get you set up. As I always say, we are very user friendly. I am also asking the public to be patient as the growing season in the UP is considerably short and the vegetables will not show up until July. So mark your calendars, get planting, and get ready for a season of laughter, lively conversation and friendly debate over who makes the best cookies, bread , etc. Let’s make this season the best yet.
