June 13th, 2021 will be our last North San Diego Certified Farmers Market Day. We are sad to announce that the market is closing permanently.

After 10+ years operating the market at this location, Ross and Claire have decided that it is time to begin semi-retirement. This market has been our own personal vision, and it has evolved over the years to be the thriving Small, Local, and Traditional farmers market that we enjoy every Sunday.

This market has been committed to the needs of local small family farms and other local proprietors who often were otherwise excluded from participation at larger more diverse farmers markets. We are proud to have been able to bring you truly locally grown produce direct from the farmers. Unfortunately, as a unique marketplace, there is no way to “just hand it over” to a new operator that would keep it running in the manner that it was intended.

We have acquired many “family members” among our vendors and regular customers, and it is bitter-sweet to acknowledge that it is time to leave despite the market thriving, and even successfully navigating the onset and progression of the Covid pandemic. You are all welcome to stay in touch.

We will be updating our website www.NSDCFM.com and page North San Diego Certified Farmers Market soon with information on how to continue to do business with the wonderful vendors we have had the privilege of selling alongside.

This market is a testament to the very best local farmers, local proprietors, and of course our wonderful shoppers, and we will miss seeing you all every Sunday.

The County of San Diego clarified on Monday May 17, 2021 that it will CONTINUE TO FOLLOW state guidance regarding facial coverings until the expected full reopening of the California economy on June 15. The North San Diego Certified Farmers Market DOES NOT INQUIRE ABOUT VACCINATION STATUS and proper wearing of mouth/nose coverings will be enforced when entering the Farmers Market selling area. We have masks available if you need one!

The North San Diego / Sikes Adobe - Certified Farmers Market in Escondido will be closed tomorrow Sunday May 16, 2021, as we await guidance from the State and County regarding updated Public Health & Safety Protocols. The CDC issued recommendations on 5/13/21 regarding masking and social distancing for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, while the current local health orders state that there is "no change" to the policies issued by the State on 5/3/21 and County on 5/6/21 that we already have in place. Our market has already established that we WILL NOT INQURE as to anyone's vaccination status, but we do want to continue to operate with safe covid practices. Pending guidance coming from the State and County, we hope to reopen next Sunday 5/23/21.
