We are looking forward to being at Hog Canyon, for the “Great Easter Holiday Valley Farms Food Giveaway”! Please remember you can pickup a bag in the name of your neighbor, friend, self or family (with no questions asked) we do this so all can have something gorgeous and nutritious on their table for the holiday weekend! Looking for volunteers to help with The Farm Stop’s Great Capay Valley Food Holiday Giveaway!! 🙏❤️ We need 8 more volunteers to pull this off… if you are looking to get involved in community or just want to do something that brings cheer and kindness to the holiday weekend, simply let me know today!! Volunteers will arrive at Hog Canyon, Saturday 4/8, at 10:30AM and need to stay through the breakdown of the event (we leave as soon as all 250 meals are distributed.) Unfortunately, this is a no childcare provided event, so we are looking for teens 14 or older or adults to help support and volunteer. 👍👌 Let me hear from you today (don’t be shy this is a fantastic vital community event and I promise your heart will leave bigger than when you arrive!) APRIL 8, 12-2, at HOG CANYON… THE FARM STOP GREAT HOLIDAY GIVEBACK GIVEAWAY... it’s on folks! And we are going 100% Valley offerings. We are for locals by locals!! 250 holiday meals will be given out, to cook at home, and for those in need for the holiday. This Easter holiday meal bag boasts 1lb of River Dog pork chops! Good post snowy morning. It is with an extremely hefty heart that we have decided to postpone our Almond Festival participation until next year. It is easy to understand why country songs are generally about 3 things: windfall successes, heartbreak, and redemption... 2022 was our Almond Festival event windfall - 2023 is clearly our TFS heartbreak and 2024 will now be OUR festival redemption to look forward to.

We just don't have the right preparations to battle this intense wind that is also predicted for Sunday's storm that will be in addition to the rain on the HWY 16 lot (as some of us know, sprinkles are one thing but wind plus sprinkles in a 10x10 is another!) Anyhoo, we thank the community for the outpouring of understanding, including form our gorgeous mighty vendors that are taking this news on the chin, our produce partners for having to deal with tumultuous icy farming conditions this week, and our event sponsor Cobram Estate Olive Oil for being willing to go for a wild ride this year with us! We wish all the events safety and success this weekend. The Farm Stoppers now look forward to being your customers and supporters and will seek you out this weekend in your indoor festival spaces or wind-safe locations.

I do believe we really tried everything (in my capabilities) to get'er to go... but I have been told not to fight mother nature by a community of tried and true locals and wise folks to be listened to... so that is the official landing for us this year.
