Lost In The Woods Meadery is a local winery that specializes in mead (honey wine), one of the oldest alcoholic beverages in the world.
Their meads use high-quality local honey (much of it from their own on-site beehives), along with fruits, herbs, and berries grown on the property or sourced from nearby farms. They also produce a rotating selection of seasonal meads, plus honey, maple syrup, fire cider, beeswax products, and unique merchandise like Viking drinking horns.
The operation blends homesteading, beekeeping, gardening, and artistry. Co-founders Aaron Pollitt and Jason Rinehart emphasize creativity — many bottles feature artistic labels designed by local artists (including Aaron’s mother). Flavors range from traditional to adventurous, with experimental options like “Whole Hive Mead.”
