A terrific mix of delicious baked goods, beautiful bouquets of flowers, sweet, sweet honey, organic fruits and vegetables, horticultural offerings, and a variety of creative artistry. Also, expect energizing music to liven up the party as we celebrate local, nutritious, and healthy agriculture at both of the Everett

Farmers Markets. Purchase flowers weekly from local Hmong Farmers who work long hours to cultivate, deliver, and arrange seasonal flowers in beautiful bouquets. As a community market, the Everett Farmers Market offers a token program for EBT/SNAP, and Match Program. Also many of our Farmers honor Senior FMNP and WIC Vouchers.

Origin of Hazelnuts

HAZELNUTS, sometimes called FILBERTS, have a long and fascinating history. The name FILBERT probably derived from the German term vollbart (full beard) in reference to some HAZELNUT VARIETIES in which the HUSK entirely COVERS THE NUT.

However, some people believe the name derives from St. Philibert, whose feast is celebrated on August 20, about the time the earliest HAZELNUTS ripen in England.
