Open June-October! 501c3 mobile farmers market truck serving Whatcom County food deserts. Our mission is to increase access to fresh, nutritious food in Whatcom County, and to support a living wage for the the farmers who grow it. We work to build a more resilient food system in our county’s food insecure areas by offering hyper-local markets at that adapt to the unique needs of each community we serve. We support and strengthen small local farms by operating neighborhood markets where farmers and food producers can sell their goods, develop relationships, and grow their capacity to produce local food.

From beautiful green shish*to peppers, to golden-yellow heirloom tomatoes, red beefsteak tomatoes and deep green zucchini - we’ve got all the veg you need to satiate both your eyes and your appetite (you eat with your eyes first, right?).

Our markets aren’t designed to turn a profit. They are designed to support farmers and feed our neighbors. We work on very slim margins (we’re a bunch of farmers so we’re used to that reality), and we rely on support from community members, foundations, and local companies who believe in our local food-access mission in order to keep the wheels moving forward.

The Community Food Co-op is dedicated to local food, too, and to supporting the farmers who grow and raise it. We’re grateful to have their support this year as a Market Supporter Sponsor!

Every Thursday our farmers are busy harvesting and packing and delivering all of the fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, etc. that make it to our markets each weekend. From the freshest organic blueberries to the most delectable early tomatoes - it all gets picked fresh and loaded into our shared aggregation space (more on that later) and onto our market truck.

I managed to catch a few farmers dropping off this weekend’s products including:

Cooperativa Tierra y Libertad
Rob Jordan
Pollen Folly Farm

Head out to one of our markets this weekend to find delicious blueberries, tomatoes, salad mix (no cyclospora here!), summer squash, eggs and more!

PS. If you know a farmer, you know they’re even less keen on paparazzi than any jaded celebrity A-lister, so thanks for letting me accost you with my camera, farmers!

Local produce is truly the heart of our markets, and we’re lucky enough to work with some amazing farmers who grow everything from beets and radishes, to peas and nopales for our truck each week.

And this isn’t your standard supermarket produce. We’re talking fresh-as-can-be, just harvested, grown in Whatcom County soils, hyper-seasonal varieties. This is produce grown by neighbors who have spent years dedicating themselves to stewarding the land and soil, feeding their community, and trialing myriad heirloom tomato varieties trying to find the “perfect” one. Its produce grown with this community in mind: its health (both individually and environmentally), its seasons, its needs, and its taste buds.

This is also why we’re so pleased to be able to offer unlimited SNAP market match again this season to make local produce more accessible to all! Customers can match their EBT dollars with free local produce for every dollar they spend, getting double the value and double the groceries for every transaction.

Come by our markets to learn more about what’s in season here in Whatcom, how to use your benefits at our markets, or to ask one of our market leads and volunteers for their best rainbow chard recipe (honestly, cant beat some sesame oil, chili flakes and a splash of vinegar in my book)!

🌟BIG NEWS!🌟

We’re thrilled to announce that Twin Sisters Mobile Market will now be accepting WIC (Women, Infants and Children) & Senior FMNP (Farmers Market Nutrition Program) benefits at our four Whatcom County market locations!

Starting this weekend (July 3rd-5th) shoppers can use their benefits to purchase local vegetables, fruit, mushrooms and herbs at our markets.

This is a long time coming and a huge win for furthering local fresh food access in Whatcom County, especially for our East Whatcom folks - many of whom haven’t had a close and convenient market where they can actually use their FMNP benefits, UNTIL NOW! Accepting these benefit programs helps make our market (and thus our local farmers’ produce) more accessible to more community members.

On a less positive note, we’re also aware that this year folks are seeing cuts to overall WIC FMNP benefits. This is coming at a time when families are already struggling with higher grocery bills and transportation costs. Any cut to benefits can become a hardship. For WIC shoppers, even if you don’t have FMNP benefits this year, know that you can still use your monthly CVB (Cash Value Benefit) for purchasing fruits and veggies at our markets. And as always, if you’re not sure how or if you can use any type of food benefits you have at our markets, just ask our market staff - they are more than happy to help.

Thank you for all our market-goers patience as we worked closely with DOH to get this new program up and running this spring/summer. We look forward to seeing you at market this weekend!

Our first market weekend is full of lots of spring treats from our farmers. Juicy-sweet strawberries, ephemeral garlic scapes, bountiful basil, and even some early-season spring carrots - and this is just the beginning!

We’ve loved seeing you all at the markets so far this weekend, and can’t wait for more. Thanks for coming out to kick off our opening weekend, and for supporting your local farmers!

SPRING FUNDRAISER AND 2026 MARKET KICK-OFF!

In a year where farmers are having to pay steeply-increasing input costs, families are facing rising grocery and gas bills, and budgets for federal food benefit programs are being slashed, we need our community’s support to help bridge the gap and bring fresh, local, affordable produce and food to underserved Whatcom County communities.

Come join us on Tuesday, May 26th from 5-7:30 for our annual spring fundraiser event hosted by our good pals over at

Come shop our solar-powered mobile market truck with local produce, meats, honey, jam, hot sauce and more! A taste of what’s to come this season.

Plus, silent auction goodies and prizes from some awesome local businesses including .wa and more! Phew!

And it’s a PINT NIGHT so will be generously donating $1 for every pint poured that evening.

Come raise a glass to your local farmer and drink to a good cause. And for goodness sake, grab a tamale while you’re there, of course.
