So sad for the Bertucelli Family. Sending our sincerest condolences. RIP, Chris. ๐๐ฎ๐น
It is with profound sadness that the family of Chris Bertucelli of San Jose announces his sudden passing on February 25, 2026, at the age of 47. Though he left us far too soon, Chrisโs vibrant spirit will be forever remembered.
Chris was born on January 17, 1979, to Dave and Patty Bertucelli. He was a lifelong lover of hockey, baseball, football, classic cars, music, trading cards, coaching his sonโs sports teams, and spending time with friends and family. Chris brought immense joy to those around him through his infectious laugh, wry sense of humor, indomitable will, and the rare ability to turn chance encounters into unforgettable moments and cherished friendships. As dedicated as he was to his familyโs deli and the customers he served, Chris still found time to feed both the NHL and NFL teams that passed through town. He was an unflappable supporter of his community and raised thousands of dollars for the Movember Charity for menโs health research. Both Chrisโs deeds and his passing will leave an indelible impression on the people and community he loved and served.
Chris is survived by his parents (Dave and Patty), spouse (Jenelle), children (Matteo and Liliana), sister (Trisha), brother-in-law (Michael), nephew (Jack), and nieces (Ella and Olivia).
A celebration of Chrisโs life will be held at St. Frances Cabrini on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, feel free to bring a written memory of Chris to share with his family. These memories will be collected and made into a book so that his children will always remember their amazing father and the impact he had on those around him.
