Oatmeal apple crisp is on the bakery menu at The Cabin today, and for the farm stand we have winter squash including acorn, buttercup, and butternut, and Honeycrisp apples from Boothby's Orchard and Farm.
The Cabin Bakery is open only on Sundays for the remainder of the season. Please do free to message anytime for special orders, which can be picked up any day of the week.
We'll open up today by 11am - look for the flags! And thank you!!

We are now open on SUNDAYS only for the remainder of the season. Find us from 10am - 4pm every Sunday at The Cabin from now until solstice. Special orders are still available for pickup on Saturdays, (or any other day of the week) so get yours in NOW before the holiday season is upon us.
*Cake for inspiration - what do you need at your family table as the planning for autumn and first winter celebrations approach? We have pies and pastries of all kinds, too. Just dream up what your heart desires and send it in a message to Erica - she's got a lot of memory-making morsels up her sleeve!

Flavors on tap for the bakery this weekend include lemon, raspberry, orange, and farm-fresh pumpkin! We'll see what the baker has in mind when she firms up her "punch list" for first thing tomorrow morning. You'll have to stop by and browse for yourself when we open - I can say there will be pies, pastry, and probably cake. 😁
Veggies will include: SWEET CORN, winter squash including acorn, buttercup, and butternut squashes, CORTLAND apples, the last zucchini, green and yellow beans, tiny salad tomatoes, a few last summer squash and other herbs from the garden including lots of basil and parsley! 😍
Hope to see YOU this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 11am-3pm. Share shoppers, this is one of the last weekends for height-of-summer produce - come spend your dollars while you can! 🌻

We are going to have DELICATA and BUTTERCUP squash as well as PIE PUMPKINS at the farm stand this weekend! We'll be open on Saturday and Sunday as usual unless we have a downpour of rain, and I'm baking up some blueberry and strawberry pies and pastries, too. Come get yours!
And for our farm share members, please come shop your shares before the summer bounty is gone! This will truly likely be the last weekend for sweet corn, but we'll have that, too, while supplies last.

Just a few bakery offerings left today after a GREAT day yesterday - thank you to all of our wonderful customers! I'll have some free banana muffins on hand today for our share holders, though so be sure to swing by! The biggest deal around and our major push for today is really the VEGGIES right now! This may be one of the last weekends for sweet corn - we can only get it while it lasts - so come on down and get yours! Plus we have amazing sweet red peppers, perfect for roasting and keeping on hand to toss into your dishes all week long. Green peppers, too, great for sandwiches and salads, and some beautiful zucchini and summer squash, heirloom green beans, tomatoes in various stages of ripeness as well as spoon tomatoes for salads, and edible flowers to adorn your table picked upon request. Fresh herbs, too, plenty of parsley and basil if you need it!
When you stop by and pick up a bag of these great local veggies, be sure to pick up a jar of preserves, too. We are emptying the shelves as part of our seasonal turnover before the holidays, so all jams and jellies and pickles are 10% off today!
THANK YOU again, all of you, for supporting our efforts to serve our community with this farm stand and bakery as well as through our community garden. We've reached the 400 pound mark for produce donations this year and we couldn't have done it without your support. Our donations are not reimbursed by any organization, it is purely an effort of the Maine Harvest for Hunger program via the University of Maine Cooperative Extension and some dedicated Master Gardener Volunteers of Franklin County. Your dollars stay local and help feed our community when you shop at The Cabin!
