🌳 HELP NAME THE PAVILIONS AT MILL POND PARK! 🌳

The Village of Farwell is excited to invite our community to help us choose names for the pavilions at Mill Pond Park! We want this to be a community-driven process that gives residents an opportunity to recognize the people, families, organizations, businesses, and community groups who have made a meaningful contribution to Farwell.

💜 We will be reviewing all nominations as part of the Village's pavilion naming process. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee that the suggested name will be selected. Nominations will close on October 31st.

💜 What if we receive more nominations than there are pavilions?
If we receive more meaningful nominations than there are pavilions available, the Village may also consider using appropriate nominations to recognize other features throughout Mill Pond Park, such as benches, docks, or other park amenities.

💜 We would love to hear from the community and learn about the people and organizations that have helped make Farwell the wonderful community it is today!

💜 If you are unable to fill out the Google Form online, please feel free to stop by the Village Office and fill out a paper nomination form. We want everyone in our community to have the opportunity to participate.

Lots of love for these cookies!! 😋

Things you probably didn’t know about my butter pecan cookies…

Did you know it takes approximately 2 HOURS to make them?! And that’s just the prepping, mixing, and baking.

Before they even hit the oven, EVERY. SINGLE. COOKIE. is individually rolled by hand. Yep. One at a time. Because apparently I enjoy making my life more difficult 😅

Then they get to spend the night in their powdered sugar “marinade.” Because apparently cookies need a spa treatment!

After their overnight powdered sugar treatment they are placed into their individual bags… Of course, this process also involves powdered sugar getting on the counter, the floor, my clothes, the cat, probably the neighbor… basically everywhere except where I actually need it. Ooops!

And let’s talk ingredients…

🧈 1 FULL POUND OF BUTTER
Yes. A pound. We are not messing around here. That is TWENTY TWO pounds of butter for the season.

🌾 4 CUPS OF FLOUR
Last season, I went through an entire 50-pound bag of flour… PLUS MORE!

So yes, that little cookie you’re eating has been through some things. Every cookie is made fresh every week, completely by hand, and NEVER frozen.

It’s a whole lot of butter, flour, powdered sugar, time, and questionable life choices… but somehow I keep making them because you guys keep eating them 💕

And honestly… I can’t blame you!
