The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is here to support our community during the frigid days ahead. If you're seeking warmth and comfort, warming stations will be open on Tuesday, January 21, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Wednesday - Friday, January 22-24, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

These spaces are designed to offer a safe and welcoming environment for anyone in need. No one should face the cold alone, and we're here to help you stay safe and warm.

Hello! We will be having a soft re-opening November 1st, 2024!

Ash has had a very hard pregnancy making consistent crafting difficult at best, but baby Melody should be arriving at the end of this month and we'll be free to create again!

We would also like to say how much we appreciate all of our friends, family, and followers! Your support means so much to us and we hope to bring some fresh Herbalist content and products to our social media and shops.

Let us know if you have anything you'd like to see, and we'll see everyone on November 1st!

I had originally posted this on my personal page but i realized that it belonged here as well:

Something even cooler about Helix Hedera, if you take a handful of these leaves and blend them into warm water you can make soap! They're saponorific plants and make a great gentle, natural cleanser.

Additionally, you can collect the vine and dry it to have a natural rope or yarn-like cordage depending on how you process it, meaning support for shelters, a new clothesline, a bag or sleeping mat, or even a rough thatch roof if you know fiber arts like crochet, weaving or macrame.

It's one of my favorite plants to showcase to unhoused neighbors because of how invasive but useful it is. Picking it and using it benefits our local environment and you!

I promised an update for our friends hormonal acne treatments and here you have it! Each photo collage shows the same angle before treatment, after one week, and then after two weeks.

These results weren't achieved by topical treatments or scrubs, but by addressing a key factor of most bodily malfunctions- vitamin and mineral deficiencies!

In the case of hormonal acne, deficiencies in vitamins D, A, B⁶, and minerals like zinc can lead to overproduction of sebum and dry skin which leads to a perfect breeding ground for acne!

It can be hard to keep up with a bodies changing nutritional needs when you're working full time and chasing around a pascal of rascals, so I whipped up some herbal capsules the full of leafy goodness like dandelion leaf and root, red Clover, and other more common herbs like parsley and basil to round out the vitamin profile.

The best part is that now that we know this supplementation works, our friend can create a nutrition plan to address the deficiencies on a permanent basis and reduce her acne symptoms long term!

The pics included show capsules and ingredients to help treat a friends hormonal acne outbreaks - I'll get to show you all the result of these in about a week and I'm so excited! The best part for me is that almost all of the herbs in these capsules are found in standard diets which means that long term effects can be maintained with just some simple dietary changes! Of course the only photo I got during the process shows the more rarely included herbs but other ingredients included parsley, oregano, Thyme and Basil!
