About the owners: Jim and Georgie Birgy come from three generations of farming. Part of the land Jim is farming was purchased by his father, Leonard, who bought it in 1945 when he returned from WWII. After many years of hard work we are proud to offer our farm raised, natural beef. About Scottish Highlander: The breed was developed in the Scottish Highlands from two sets of stock. They are a hardy beef due to the rugged nature of their native land in the mountains. Their long hair provides warmth and protection in the winter as well as protection from flies in the summer. They graze and browse of grass as well as eat plants that other cattle avoid.
