🔥 Pasteurized vs. Raw: What’s the Difference?

Pasteurization began over a century ago — not because milk was “bad,” but because cities lost their connection to clean, local farms. Yes, I will not disagree that there was a reason for the creation of pasteurization. But I will say - it could have been addressed with clean, healthy cows.

When milk is pasteurized, it’s heated to kill bacteria — but that process also destroys delicate enzymes like lactase and phosphatase that our bodies use to digest and absorb nutrients.

Then comes homogenization, which breaks fat molecules so the cream never rises.
A convenience… but at the cost of what made milk real.

Raw milk keeps its structure, flavor, and living balance.
It still separates, still changes with the seasons, still tells the story of the farm.

It’s not old-fashioned — it’s original. 🕊️
