Fried Green Tomatoes, anyone?
✨Produce Feature✨
While these tomatoes won’t be ripening and turning red, there are SO MANY recipes for them! Unlike their ripe red counterparts, green tomatoes are acidic, tart, tangy, and/or sour with just a touch of sweetness! They have a dense texture and hold their shape when fried, pickled, grilled or stewed. Recipes for them include roasted salsa verde, green tomato soup (served hot or chilled), chutney, relish, and roasted pasta sauce! You can even put them on pizzas or in egg dishes. And who can forget the classic method of battering and frying them? Come grab some while they’re here!
