🥪 Smoked Tri-Tip Sandwich with Garlic Aioli

Ingredients:
• 1½–2 lbs cooked tri-tip roast, thinly sliced against the grain
• 4–6 sandwich rolls (hoagie, ciabatta, or brioche)
• 1 large onion, sliced
• 1 green bell pepper, sliced (optional)
• 2 tbsp butter or oil for sautéing
• 4 slices provolone or pepper jack cheese
• ½ cup BBQ sauce or au jus for dipping

Garlic Aioli (optional but amazing):
• ½ cup mayonnaise
• 1 tsp minced garlic
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• Dash of black pepper
(Mix together and chill until ready to use.)



🔥 Instructions
1. Warm the meat:
Heat sliced tri-tip in a skillet or on the griddle with a splash of broth or BBQ sauce to keep it juicy.
2. Sauté the veggies:
In butter or oil, cook onions (and peppers if using) until soft and golden.
3. Assemble:
Toast your sandwich rolls lightly. Spread garlic aioli on each side, pile on warm tri-tip, top with onions and a slice of cheese.
4. Melt & serve:
Place sandwiches back on the grill or skillet, cover with a lid to melt cheese. Serve warm with extra BBQ sauce or au jus on the side.

• Add a side of coleslaw, potato salad, or chips for a full lunch plate.
• Drizzle a little extra BBQ sauce for a smoky, sticky finish.
