Ray is heading west to chase mule deer and leaving the A team in charge of the shop this weekend! We will still be open as normal but please call Barb at 641-777-7196 or Jacob at 641-208-0968 so we can make sure one of us is out there! Thank you and good luck to everyone headed out to the woods!!

The big boys are cruising and this one happened to slip up and wind up in our cooler over the weekend! Jeff traveled back here from PA and made the most of his trip with this hammer of a whitetail! This buck had been previously shot with a broadhead hole through one of his front legs and a massive gash across his chest and armpit, but it didn’t stop him from chasing does all over the timber. Just another testament to how resilient these animals can be. Congrats again on a great buck and thank you for choosing us to get him ready for your freezer Jeff!

Opening weekend of first shotgun is in the books and man was it a great one at the shop! Our cooler is stuffed to the absolute max, we saw some folks bring in their first and biggest deer yet, and best of all we got to share some great stories with new and old friends! I remember the summer we built it my dad saying he thought he could stay busy enough to make it work. Now here we are 18 years later still going strong, and we had 3 generations in there almost all weekend! Thank you to everybody that chooses us to process your harvest and keeps the lights on at the little shop out in the middle of nowhere! Keep knocking em down and we’ll keep cutting em up!

I’ve been slacking on our social media posts but we’ve had an awesome start to deer season 2024 so far! Youth season brought some youngsters bringing their first deer in as well as some familiar faces that have been filling their family’s freezer for a few years now! With bow and muzzleloader season in full swing we’ve seen a few folks having some early season success and we all know things will just keep getting better for the next month. Good luck and safe hunting to all of you heading out, and thank you again to everyone that chooses us to get your deer ready for the skillet!!
