I don’t know if we’ve ever had more “weird” greens at once! Spinach 3 ways (bunched, medium and big bags), Mache, Claytonia, Dandelion, Endive, Spicy Mizuna, and all the normal Salads.

Sunday was International Women’s Day. I am grateful for the skilled, dedicated, kind, hard-working women of Riverstone (only 5 of 12 women pictured who currently work on staff!) this week and every week.

I know farming has given me (Tiffany) a huge sense of purpose and empowerment. I am proud that Riverstone is a place where our team of 12 women (and 7 men) can find fair, workplace fulfillment.

Thanks to some of our customers who got some “Riverstone Organick Farm Greenhouse Herb Plants” — seeded last August, potted up and cared for by Clay this winter. Rosemary sold fast, but he still has some parsley, oregano, thyme and sage leftover. He wants to setup next!

He wanted to charge $20/plant. I convinced him $5 was more appropriate! We have a mighty team at Riverstone—and I’m happy that he feels a part of it.

We’ve extended our ordering deadline for this weekend until Friday by 6AM. Get your orders in for pick up on Friday at 4pm 10-2pm and 10-1pm pickup on Saturday. It looks cold and windy, so we won’t be able to display veggies. Please get an order in so we can prepack your boxes.

Floyd Market pickup will be INSIDE the Station at the Farmers Market Sustain Floyd office.

Farmers’s Markets are cancelled again this weekend - but we are stocked up with salads, kale, herbs, carrots, beets, potatoes and more .

We even have fresh bread and bread today and eggs.

Roads are clear to get here - so make us one of your stops to “stock-up” before the new round of snow arrives.

We’ve been a bit quiet here - but don’t be confused! We are still growing, washing, selling and delivering our certified organic produce year-round! We all took some days off for Thanksgiving but have been back in action this week. Technically we’ve got this pictured tunnel of greens “saved” for January—and it feels good to have greens to look forward to. We are working through our remaining lettuce heads, greens, and other goodies for December markets. Also, winter projects are in full swing (second pic): with electric and water getting installed to our newest tunnels.
