[email protected] It all started with my dad, Tommy Dodson, a third generation farmer.

A bumper crop of spicy peppers led to a batch of pepper jelly. We really enjoyed it, and we also enjoyed picking fruit, which led to plum jam, peach jam, and blackberry jam. Lots of jars of jam were made and shared with friends, who said we should sell it, and since we were already selling produce at Memphis Farmers Market, this was the natural next step. We used fruit and produce that my dad grew

, as well as fruit from other local farmers. Now we have over 20 varieties of jams, jellies, marmalades, and preserves. My dad passed away in 2013, and while we no longer have my dad to grow all the produce, we do have the fruit trees and bushes he planted. My mom, Bonnie Dodson, and I have kept the jam business going. We have a love for making products that taste good, support local growers, and are enjoyed by our customers (and my children). - Carolyn Dodson-King

I will be at Shady Grove Presbyterian Church tomorrow from 10-4 for our holiday pop-up market. I will have a limited supply of jams, as well as fabulous aprons, adorable bunting - Christmas and fun prints, super cute bags, oven mitts, remodeled vintage Putz houses, and Christmas ornaments. We aren’t sure when, or if, we will be returning to Memphis Farmers Market. Mom has cancer, and we’re working on getting her better. Muddy’s Bake Shop on Broad Ave. has some of our sweet varieties of jam. Hopefully at some point in the future I can offer the jam that we have left for porch pick up in Memphis.
