Dennis Geszvain and Tom Thurin began selling regularly in Parking Lot 7. The Chamber of Commerce, then under the direction of Dianne Hrobsky, appreciated the additional foot traffic and excitement downtown. By 2007, the market had grown sufficiently to warrant paid staff to manage the four-month market. Past Chamber Tourism Manager Kristin Wallace hired Beth Gehred and Cynthia Holt as part-time co-managers. That year, there were 18 vendors, and the first programming component was added - live music. This marked the beginning of year-round programming with multiple wellness, arts and educational programs. The market has since grown to a Winter Market, Summer Market and Holiday Market. The Fort Farmers Summer Market proudly hosts 36+ vendors each Saturday and over 50+ vendors at our monthly Arts Saturdays (last Saturday of the month). The Fort Farmers Market is sponsored

While tomorrow promises a great market full of ALL KINDS of goodies, (including music favorite Jordan Persson performing for us from 9-11am), we also want to make sure that October 10th is on everyone's radar! As well as the fact that we are eagerly planning the Holiday Market Hop already with over 100 vendors expected this year! Boy is there a lot to be excited for!!!!!!
