It is with great sadness that we announce the official closing of our fruit and vegetable stand, Top O’ The Hill. Our entire family has enjoyed serving the community by selling the fruit of our labors, and we will miss all of you. Thank you for your wonderful support for the past twelve years. Honestly, we no longer have the boys at home to plant, hoe, water, and harvest and then sell the vegetables! They are moving out, getting married, attending school, and just plain ol’ pursuing their life vocations as mature men. Yet as the Preacher reminds us in Ecclesiastes 3:1-2b “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.” Our sweet season of truck farming is over for right now, but we remain confident in God’s good provision for the future, not only for us but for you our neighbors. May God supply your every need, according to His riches in Christ Jesus.
That being said, we may have peaches from the Western slope next weekend—Friday and Saturday, as a fundraiser for our school. Stay tuned for more details.
