Each month we bring a fresh haul of cheese and accoutrements from our importer to stock up The Welsh Rabbit shelves with stand-by favorites and wonderful new offerings. While our space is wonderful, these provisions make the beautiful slowness to a weekday afternoon enjoyable. We love creating no rush, no pressure, cozy corner to unwind and try something exceptional. Whether you want to explore a single style or build yourself a diverse, sushi-style cheese board of flavors, consider this your invitation to take a breather with us this week.

We’re crackin' a whole wheel of Grana Padano at our Community Table, and you’re invited! Both Grana Padano, and its more famous cousin, Parmigiano-Reggiano, hark back to the 12th century when two different Monasteries developed them to preserve excess milk. Join us for an enjoyable & elevated educational experience. When this 2-year-old cheese is first split, it releases an initial aroma and taste in the first 20 to 30 minutes before the oxygen takes over transforming it into what is more commonly tasted. Together, we’ll dive into the history, the ancient techniques, and taste the distinct differences between Grana Padano and its close relative, Parmesan (and a surprise 3rd cheese!). Of course, we have a curated selection of wines, from which we'll choose a flight of 3 to go along with the evening.

Join us at The Welsh Rabbit on Tuesday, June 2nd at 6 PM for three distinct bites straight from the heart of the wheel, and a beautifully paired flight.

At The Welsh Rabbit, we believe life is a "grand experiment" enjoyably shared over a charcuterie board and a glass of wine. You can take a peek behind the scenes with our brand-new monthly newsletter! It’s your place to hear directly from our founder, H Dean Hines Jr. (better known around here as the Old Grey Hare), meet the incredible team of Rabbits who make this space a sanctuary, and discover the stories behind our favorite artisan makers. Dean’s first note is already live, including a secret look at his favorite cheese...but you’ll have to read the letter to find it.
