Black Garlic became “Black Magic Garlic”
In 2017 we started making Black Garlic for ourselves as food lovers and a culinary delight, then came to learn of its many extraordinary health benefits. Black Garlic is an ancient ingredient first created in Korea 4,000 years ago and is back in style with high end cuisine and nutritionists.
We run 2 animal rescues and a sanctuary in both Canada (Royal Canadian Pooch Rescue) and the US (Eddy’s Dogs) and needed a way to supplement our income to sustain the costs of such a huge financial undertaking. Starting off small and selling it at the local farmers market and have now built up to a regular clientel. Our Black Garlic is named “Black Magic Garlic” after our rescue cat name “Magic”. She is a very “cool” cat and the only teeth she has is two little fangs.
